Trauma, Abuse and Nervous System Healing
Trauma impacts more than our thoughts. It can affect the nervous system, relationships, emotions, sense of safety, identity and the way we move through the world. Experiences such as abuse, chronic invalidation, betrayal, neglect or prolonged stress can leave the mind and body stuck in patterns of hyper-vigilance, anxiety, shutdown, emotional overwhelm or disconnection.
You may understand something logically, yet still feel trapped emotionally or physically in old patterns of fear, shame or survival.
My counseling approach integrates evidence based practices with deeper exploration of attachment, meaning, worldview and emotional regulation to help clients move toward greater safety, stability and wholeness.
